"Markel proudly presented GalGael Trust with the Community Award at the SCVO Awards in Edinburgh on 16th June 2011. The competition for this award was huge, but this charity shone out as an example of pooling efforts in the Govan community on the edge of Glasgow. They help to generate work for ex dockyard workers and their families and to also create an infrastructure of support. This ranged from advice in filling in benefit forms to helping tenants with learning disabilities get duplicate keys for their rented accommodation. To learn more about GalGael click here "
