A roofing apprentice praised for her enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about the roofing trade whilst training at college and on-site.

Gabbi Day, an apprentice roofer from Chesterfield, was chosen as a winner after being nominated by her employer Philip Dalton, Managing Director of Dalton Roofing.

Discussing Gabbi's apprenticeship, Philip shared "Gabbi had really struggled in the school environment and experienced a lack of support and encouragement. However, she now feels she has found her place in the working environment, she feels she has support, encouragement and is thoroughly enjoying her college placement."

Phillip spoke of Gabbi's admirable work ethic in his nomination: "Gabbi works really hard and her enthusiasm to the job is exceptional."
