The trustworthy platform has a range of memberships available, with the most basic package starting from £30 +VAT a month, however this membership only allows tradespeople to begin to build up their profile – to appear in the Checkatrade search engine, the number of leads desired throughout the year needs to be chosen and paid for.

After a plan is successfully set up, tradespeople can start browsing and quoting detailed job postings by customers on an easy-to-use app or site. A customer is then able to access the profiles of people who have replied to their postings, which include a company description, work gallery, services offered, and certificates.

Rated People memberships and fees 

Memberships are tailored to each member – the fee is determined by how many jobs a tradesperson wants to do per month and includes credits towards buying leads. The platform offers an Unlimited plan, which includes unlimited leads for a fixed amount, and the ability to quote on as many jobs as desired.

TrustATrader

Customers can then find and reach out to tradespeople, who will also directly receive all leads which match their expertise.

Bark.com memberships and fees 

There are no joining or monthly fees when an account is set up with Bark.com, however, a small fee is charged for each introduction requested from a lead. Users of this platform are also given access to an award-winning customer success team, by email and telephone.

TrustMark

TrustMark is the UK’s only government-endorsed quality scheme which promotes reputable tradespeople. Which? Trusted Traders memberships and fees 

During registration, tradespeople are required to pay an assessment fee of £248, and then a membership fee starting from £66 per month. Members must work to a code of conduct, with access to the ombudsman services to help settle disputes professionally.

Federation of Master Builders

However, once approved, the process to sell trades services is straightforward. Tradespeople are provided with a profile to list their services, specify location, display previous work, and collect customer feedback. Pre-packaged services with fixed prices are then listed and can be sold to existing Amazon customers who choose a tradesperson, and then the tradesperson chooses whether to accept the job.

Amazon Home & Business Services memberships and fees 

The popular selling platform is free to sign up and use – the fees are introduced when the job is paid for. The customer will pay Amazon once the job is completed, Amazon will then take their commission of 15%-20%, and then the payment will be sent to the tradesperson.
