For the fifth year running, we were proud to be awarded the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service.
This award is given only to companies that deliver excellent service for their customers, and is based solely on genuine reviews and ratings on the independent Feefo review platform.
Claims Service Solution of the Year - Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards 2021
At this year’s Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards, Markel was awarded the Claims Service Solution Award.
In a short space of time, Markel UK built a claims automation portal to rapidly settle claims. The design, build and delivery for which took just 22 days before going live in April 2020. This solution demonstrated Markel's 'Expect More' promise to customers and is an achievement we are truly proud of.
Insurance Business Magazine - professional indemnity insurance five-star excellence rating 2021
Not only has Markel retained its maximum five-star rating in the ‘Insurance Times five-star rating report Commercial Lines 2019/2020’, we’ve also moved up to the number one spot.
After an impressive performance across all five service areas in the recent survey, we are now one of only three insurers to achieve an overall five-star rating. This score has seen us move up from second in last year’s report to first place.
5 Star Rating and Top Commercial Lines Insurer - Insurance Times Five Star Rating Report 2019/2020

Customer Care Award - Insurance Post Claims Awards 2019
Markel won the Customer Care Award at the Insurance Post Claims Awards 2019. The Customer Care Award recognises an excellent level of customer care for claimants and, in particular, the impact of an innovative customer care strategy either on retention levels or client satisfaction.
We’re therefore extremely proud that Markel’s Prompt Resolution Team (PRT) – whose objective is fast settlement, with minimal hassle to the policyholder - was the solution that saw us collect this prestigious award.
