If you need to make a claim, or are aware of a situation that may lead to a claim, call us on 0345 355 2227 (our opening hours are 08.30 to 17.30. Calls are included in your bundle minutes from mobiles and landlines. Call made outside of your bundle minutes are charged at local rate).

Alternatively (and if you need to get in touch with us outside of opening hours) email with a brief description of the events leading up to your claim and we will contact you. You may find our making a claim checklist useful when considering what information to include.

Employers liability and public liability personal injury claims

On the same day you receive the Claims Notification Form (CNF):

  • Call us on 0345 355 2227
  • Email a copy of the CNF to or fax it to 0845 351 2601

We have produced some basic guidance for policyholders, with example CNFs and information and documents we would need to investigate the claim.

What happens next?

One of our in-house experienced claims handlers (who will oversee your claim from start to finish) will assess your claim and be in touch.

Every claim is managed from start to finish by a dedicated claims adjuster that is based in-house at our head office in Leeds. They will handle your claim with the utmost care and respect and you can get in touch with them directly; meaning that if you want to discuss your claim with us, you will be dealing with someone who has a full understanding of your situation and won't be passed around a call centre. Depending on the type of claim you make, we may appoint an expert loss adjuster or specialist solicitor to handle certain aspects of your claim (see below for more details), but rest assured they will do so with the same care and attention.

If your claim requires the attention of a solicitor, we instruct specialist firms that are an expert in their particular field of law.

Be it professional negligence, personal injury or employment related, our panel of solicitors comprises some of the longest established and most respected firms in the UK, giving the best chance of defending your claim successfully. The vast experience of these firms means that they are likely to have handled a claim similar to yours in the past and will know the strategy to take to achieve the best possible outcome.
